Using T cell lymphokines of hyperimmunized chickens with Salmonella pullorum to protect layer hens against Salmonella pullorum infection

چکیده
Salmonella pullorum (SP) is well adapted to cause an acute systemic infection in hens with a high mortality rate. This study aimed assess the efficacy and safety of salmonella-immune lymphokine (SILK) produced by hyperimmunized pullets during layer hens' production stage boost their immune response against infection. In this study, two groups 25 were used produce lymphokines; first group received three doses vaccine at 12, 14, 16 weeks, while second only phosphate buffer saline (PBS), which served as control. At 18 non-immune lymphokines (NILK) isolated from T cells group, group. Then, 100-layer (ISSA Brown), 30 weeks old, entered stage, separated into four groups, each chickens. G1: infected SP treated SILK. G2: NILK. G3: untreated SP-challenged G4: no treatment or challenge. The current describe host humoral responses serum samples bacterial shedding challenged 31-33 qPCR techniques. Internal organ loads estimated evaluate persistence bacteria. results show that spleen, liver, caecal tonsils tested positive for bacteria both (G2, G3), proving was not eliminated birds suggesting internal colonization may act reservoir ongoing low IgG titer compared G1 extremely 31, 32, 33. investigation shows using SILK provides better homogenous protection less persistence.

Pullorum disease of chickens is a bacterial infection caused by Salmonella enterica subspecies enterica serovar Gallinarum biovar Pullorum
In its acute form, Pullorum disease is almost exclusively a septicaemic disease of young chickens. However, the organism may also be associated with disease in turkey poults and may be carried subclinically or lead to reduced egg production and hatchability plus a range of atypical signs in older birds. Ovarian transmission is a major route by which the organism can spread. Game birds and ‘back...
متن کاملSerological response of chickens to Salmonella thompson and Salmonella pullorum infections.
Chickens were experimentally infected with Salmonella thompson (serogroup C, paratyphoid) and Salmonella pullorum (serogroup D). Five serological methods and one cultural method were used in detecting the infections. The microantiglobulin test was superior to all other methods for detection of paratyphoid (S. THOMPSON) infection and was followed in efficacy by the microagglutination test, rapid...
متن کاملRecombinant-attenuated Salmonella Pullorum strain expressing the hemagglutinin-neuraminidase protein of Newcastle disease virus (NDV) protects chickens against NDV and Salmonella Pullorum challenge
Newcastle disease virus (NDV) and Salmonella Pullorum have significant damaging effects on the poultry industry, but no previous vaccine can protect poultry effectively. In this study, a recombinant-attenuated S. Pullorum strain secreting the NDV hemagglutinin-neuraminidase (HN) protein, C79-13ΔcrpΔasd (pYA-HN), was constructed by using the suicide plasmid pREasd-mediated bacteria homologous re...

Requirement for cobalamin by Salmonella enterica serovars Typhimurium, Pullorum, Gallinarum and Enteritidis during infection in chickens
Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium synthesizes cobalamin (vitamin B12) only during anaerobiosis. Two percent of the S. Typhimurium genome is devoted to the synthesis and uptake of vitamin B12 and to B12-dependent reactions. To understand the requirement for cobalamin synthesis better, we constructed mutants of Salmonella serovars Enteritidis and Pullorum that are double-defective in cobala...
